Hi! I’m Katharine and I’m a very, VERY amateur rider in my mid-20s, living in Texas with my husband, daughter and two rambunctious cats. I was one of those kids who grew up obsessed with horses and just never actually grew out of it.

My current steed is a 21 year old ArabianX mare and she is my pride and joy. She may not have a fancy show record (or any record) and she still throws an absolute fit if I try to ride her off-property but she’s reliable enough to put kids on, she has the BEST rolling canter, and we have a great partnership (in general).

Although I rode all through high school and the first couple years of college, it has been nearly four years since I did anything consistently. But as of the end of 2019, I’m getting ready to work from home and I’ll have the time to spend at the farm again. I’m hoping to work on our fitness and hopefully have at least one or two seasons of endurance riding with Lady before she gets too old for it.

Outside of horses, I do a wide variety of things, many of which I blog about on my other site – Elemental Dreamer. I love writing, reading, advocating for mental health, and probably a million other things that I just can’t think of right now.
